Two people were killed after a test car developed by Nio Inc. fell from a third-floor parking lot in Shanghai on Wednesday.

The crash took place around 5:20 p.m. in a parking building in the industrial park where the automaker’s headquarters is located.

Two digital cockpit testing staffers including one Nio worker and one partner staff member were killed, the automaker said.
