Two killed after single-car crash near Ravenna in Michigan

Two people were killed after a vehicle crash on Monday, near Ravenna in Michigan.

The single-car crash took place overnight on Adams Road in Muskegon County’s Moorland Township. It was reported around 9 a.m.

The driver and his passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Victims include a 55-year-old Ravenna man who was driving the car and one passenger, a 55-year-old Grant woman.

Their identities have not been released.

Initial investigation shows that the driver lost control of his car on the icy road before it left the road and went into a ditch, hitting several trees.

The driver and the passenger were not using seatbelts.

The crash is currently under investigation by Michigan State Police.
