Two people were killed after a car crash which was reported around 1:30 along Harrodsburg Road and Dogwood Trace Boulevard in Lexington, Kentucky.
It happened close to the intersection of Overlake Boulevard.
The intersection was shut for some hours while Lexington Police investigated the crash.
The two vehicles involved an SUV and a pickup truck.
An 87-year-old identified as Evelyn Powers and an 86-year-old identified as David Powers were both killed in the crash.
One person was admitted to the hospital with minor injuries.
Lexington Police Department is investigating the crash.
