Two killed, two injured after car crash on Dixie Highway

Two people were killed and two others were injured after a car crash on Dixie Highway in Kentucky on Friday night.

The crash took place around 8:15 p.m., when LMPD’s Traffic Unit responded to a two-vehicle crash on Dixie Highway at the I-265 ramp.

The investigation showed one car was traveling southbound on Dixie and was moving the I-265 ramp overpass when a second vehicle moving northbound got on the ramp and turned in front of the first car, resulting in the two-vehicle crash.

The man who was driving the northbound car and his passenger were ejected from the car.

They were admitted to the University of Louisville Hospital along with the driver and passenger in the other car.

The man and his passenger in the northbound car succumbed to their injuries. The other driver and passenger remain in the hospital. Their condition is critical.

Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating the crash.
