Two killed, two injured after car crash in Ravenna Township, Ohio

Two were killed and two others injured after a car crash on SR-14 in Ravenna Township, Ohio.

The crash took place just before 1:30 p.m. according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.

A woman identified as Brittany Spohn was driving eastbound in a 2010 Dodge Caliber when she lost control as she attempted to negotiate with a curve and traveled left of center into the path of a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe.

The vehicles crashed in the westbound lane of SR-14.

Sphon was pronounced dead at the scene.

A male passenger in her car was admitted to University Hospital Ravenna with minor injuries.

The passenger in the Hyundai, identified as 81-year-old female named Ester Smith, was taken to the same hospital but succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai was injured in the crash and was admitted to the hospital.

SR-14 was closed for almost four hours after the crash.

Spohn left two children behind. A GoFundMe page has been created for Spohn’s family to help her family deal with memorial expenses.
