Two killed, two others injured after car crash near Perkinsville

Two people died and two others were injured after a car crash on Thursday morning near Perkinsville, in Madison County, Indiana.

The one-vehicle crash took place about 10 a.m. in the 9600 block of West Eighth Street Road near Perkinsville Cemetery, according to Madison County Sheriff’s Department.

The driver of the westbound four-door car when he lost control about 150 yards before crashing into a tree.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. The two other occupants of the car were flown to Indianapolis hospitals with serious injuries.

Officials believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.

Identities of the victims are yet to be released.
