Two people killed after car crash in Flagler Street, Miami

Two people were killed after a single-car crash in West Flagler Street, Miami on Sunday morning.

It was about 3:10 a.m. when Flagler was closed in both directions from West 47th Court to West 48th Avenue by the Miami police.

The westbound lanes were resumed at 9:30 a.m. The eastbound lanes resumed around 11:15 a.m.

The crash took place when the driver of a westbound Kia Forte lost control and struck a light pole.

Two people were ejected from the vehicle, while the Kia continued on to the Valero gas station.

Miami Fire Rescue attended the crash site. It declared the two people ejected dead and took the remaining three passengers to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Two of them are in critical condition.
