U.S. to investigate some Ford imports of hybrid electric cars and parts

The U.S. International Trade Commission stated on Tuesday it has started a patent-infringement investigation into imports of specific hybrid electric automobiles and parts by Ford Motor.

The investigation was sought by Paice LLC and Abell Foundation Inc, the companies based in Baltimore, which accuse that the imports infringe their patents, the ITC stated. The two companies are looking for a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders, it stated.
