Penske Truck Leasing made an order of 750 of Ford Motor’s electric E-Transit cargo vans, the unit of Penske Automotive said on Monday.

The move comes as some companies such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL are experimenting with electric cargo vehicles as part of their own zero-emission auto plans.

Penske said the first E-Transit vehicles would be available in Southern California with other locations around the United States.

These new vehicles are set to be offered both as a rental and full-service lease option for customers of the company.

The company said that its long-term plans include having more of the automaker’s E-Transit vans to its wider network of rental, and leasing locations throughout North America.

Ford’s E-Transit van comes in eight configurations, which include three roof heights and three lengths. They have an EV driving range of 126 miles.
