Victoria Police car rammed in Melbourne’s north, the fourth such incident this week

A man and a woman remain in custody after driving their stolen car into a police car in Melbourne, it is the 4th such ramming in the area this week.

The 25-year-old Doncaster guy is accused to have been hiding a firearm in the boot of a stolen vehicle at the time.

Authorities stated the police van approached the taken vehicle on Peterson Avenue located in Coburg North around 4:50 am when it crashed into them and 3 other car before speeding away.

The man and a 25-year-old Hurstbridge lady were jailed in Reservoir.

Since Sunday there have been four incidents of police cars being rammed by suspected car thieves and armed burglars in the northern suburban areas.

A patrol car was likewise rammed near Geelong just after 4:00 am.

Police stated a male left after he struck their automobile on Portarlington Road, Drysdale.
