Volkswagen May Not Resume U.S. Sales of Diesel Automobiles

Volkswagen AG stated on Wednesday it has not decided if it will resume offering diesel automobiles in the United States, even if it were enabled to, in the wake of the company’s emissions cheating scandal.

The German automaker has actually been barred from offering diesel vehicles in the United States from 2015 after it acknowledged utilizing “defeat devices” to evade U.S. diesel emissions requirements.
