Volkswagen Polo R May Get All-Wheel Drive

by SpeedLux

In the latest news, Volkswagen group recently released the highly anticipated, Polo R WRC.

Rumors say that this one would be a limited edition, but nothing can just be confirmed unless and until some company official say so. The car maker is also planning to introduce additional versions of this car, to keep the the public’s interest at a high level.

So that means that we will get to see the Polo R receive four-wheel drive in the future, and the Polo is underpinned by the same PQ25 platform as the Audi A1. And the latter already has a AWD system, so an AWD Polo R would be certain.

“There could be some customer interest, so I think four-wheel drive could be great for some countries. There are no plans [for now], but I could imagine it,” Head of VW R&D, Ulrich Hackenberg, said.
