A Denny’s waitress is feeling really thankful after a dining couple gifted her a car.

Adrianna Edwards of Galveston, Texas, had to walk 14 miles every day to get to her job at the diner chain. The entire journey took her over four hours.

“You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do,” Edwards stated to KTRK of her long trek.

Edwards was on her way of saving to purchase a car when the kind couple thought about her situation.

The pair, who reportedly asked to remain anonymous, visited the restaurant on Tuesday morning for breakfast. It was then they got to know about Edwards’ long trips to and from work each day.

After finishing their meal, the two left only to return hours later with the surprise of a lifetime — a 2011 Nissan Sentra they had bought just now, KTRK reports.

This brought tears to Edwards’ eyes.

“I still feel like I’m dreaming. Every two hours, I come look out my window and see if there’s still a car there,” she stated.

Now it won’t take her any more than 30 minutes to get to her working place, cutting hours off of her commute.
