1 dead and 2 injured after car crash while fleeing police in South Carolina

One person died and two were injured after a car fleeing police crashed on Torrington Road near Laurens in South Carolina.

The crash took place at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday.

An eastbound 1999 Toyota Corolla with three passengers went off the right side of the road, hitting a utility pole.

Police was pursuing the vehicle.

One person died and two were flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
