2 dead, 1 injured after car falls into backyard pool in Chino, California

Car crashed into pool in Chino, California

Two people died and another one was injured after a car slammed into a median and landed in a backyard swimming pool on Wednesday morning in Chino, California.

Police were notified of the incident at about 2:20 a.m.

The single-car crash took place near the intersection of Schaefer and East End avenues.

Responders figured out that the Chevrolet sedan was heading south on Schaefer when it hit a center median, sending it flying into the air. It fell into a home’s pool, damaging a perimeter wall and taking out all three occupants.

A 21-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two others, a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, were admitted to a hospital, of which one died.

The identities of the victims haven’t been released as of yet.

It is yet to be known that what caused the crash.
