2 dead, 2 injured after car crash on Highway 101, Oregon

A car crash caused the deaths of two people and sent the other two to the hospital on Oregon Coast Highway 101 south of Florence near Dunes City, Oregon on Wednesday.

The crash took place around 7:20 a.m.

A Ford Contour driven by a person identified as Rhonda Wild, 51, of Fresno, California, was northbound in the southbound lane when the car crashed with a southbound Nissan Titan pulling a boat driven by a 46-year-old male identified as Jason Smith of Prineville.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in the Nissan were admitted to the hospital in Florence.
