2 killed, 1 injured after car crashes in Longs, South Carolina

Two people were killed and one person was injured after a head-on car crash on Christmas morning on Pine Needle Drive in Longs, South Carolina.

The crash took place at about 12:45 a.m. near Monterrey Drive.

It happened when the 2009 Altima crossed the center line when it was traveling south and crashed head-on with the 2017 Altima.

One of the vehicles then engulfed.

The driver of a 2009 Nissan Altima and a front-seat passenger in a 2017 Nissan Altima were killed in the crash.

The driver of the 2017 Altima was admitted to the hospital.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
