Two people were killed and three others were injured after a head-on car crash on Olivia Road in North Carolina on Thursday afternoon.
Spouts Springs Fire Department was notified of the crash near Underwood Drive at 12:20 p.m.
Officials initially termed it as a two-vehicle crash with at least one fatality and that two people were pinned inside a vehicle.
Dodge Challenger and a green Pontiac Grand Prix were involved in the crash.
Additional fire and medic units also attended the crash site.
Three people were admitted to local hospitals.
Two people were pronounced dead on the scene.
