2 people killed in a two-car accident in Merrimack, New Hampshire

Police were informed of a two-vehicle crash on the F.E. Everett Turnpike, New Hampshire around 12:15 a.m. on Thursday.

While units were responding they were told that there were two people trapped inside the vehicles, and one of the vehicles had caught fire. The first Merrimack police officer who attended the scene said that he could not access the victim because of the intense fire.

Bedford and Merrimack firefighters responded to the crash. It was immediately figured out neither driver survived the accident.

The highway remained closed for about two hours as the investigation is being carried out by New Hampshire State Police.
