2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition By Hennessey Tested On Dyno: Official Specs, Photos and Video

by Andrew Randall

Being one of the cars that sets the standards, the Chevrolet Corvette drew attention of many aftermarket specialists. One of these companies is Hennessey, a tuner that has managed to never disappoint us with its creations.

Their latest achievement is called Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition and it is offered with the standard Hennessey regalia, featuring a TVS2300 supercharger system, a high-flow air induction system and high-flow cylinder heads. In addition to all these, in order to make this car even more special, the tuner fitted on it an HPE engine management calibration, new cylinder heads, a fuel injector upgrade, high-flow catalytic converters, stainless steel mid-pipes and long tube headers.

Thanks to all these, the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition’s 7.0-liter V8 engine comes now with an increased output of 700 horsepower at 6,200 rpm. This is pretty impressive considering that in standard form the total output was of 505 horsepower at 6,300 rpm.

As usual, Hennessey also added their bells and whistles, complete with exterior badging, carbon fiber door sills, premium floormats, engine plaques and serial-numbered dash. However, despite all these additions, there aren’t a lot of differences at a glamce. Still, the sound of the engine makes it truly unique.
