2011 Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 caught undergoing test runs

by Alex

The Ferrari 430GT is about to give up its place of command to the GT version of the Ferrari 458 Italia. This is expected to happen during the upcoming ALMS season. People in the racing industry are therefore anxious to have a view of the GT-spec 458 Italia in action. There has been a very detailed rendering albeit of the expected type of the 458 GT by Jon Sibal.

A prototype of the 458 GT was recently spotted while it was doing some test runs inside Ferrari’s Fiorano race track in Maranello, Italy.

This is visual proof that the car is a reality and this is a welcome relief, what with months of waiting for any sort of indication to this effect about the car.

There has also been a new video from an individual nick name ILikeFastCars1 which shows the 458 Italia GT2 that is under test at the same race track. Pictures from Team Speed are also available of the 458 Italia and can be seen in their gallery on the net.
