2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee takes on the Rubicon Trail

by Alex

It looks like we might soon have a rivalry between the undisputed kings of the off-road circuit and the new Jeep Grand Cherokee. According to these photos and reports, Chrysler is pushing the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee at a steady pace and is trying to prove it’s off-road worthiness.

According to the official Facebook page of Jeep Jamboree, the new 2011 Grand Cherokee has been driven by a group of Jeep engineers who have been testing the vehicle before it goes on sale later on this year. It only makes sense that being the Chief of the Jeep line-up, the Cherokee is able to at least keep up with the obstacles placed in front of its smaller sibling, the Wrangler Rubicon.

The only way the Grand Cherokee will be able to earn the all-important Trail Rated badge is if it can ace the Rubicon (the same trail its more formidable sibling the Wrangler has aced for years).
