2011 Mosler Raptor

by Alex

Race cars that have been modified and turned into street cars is the specialty that Mosler – the US based automaker excels in. The MT900 GTR and the MT900 GTR X are some of the models that have been their handiwork. The firm has now launched on a new and special project wherein they are developing a new supercar which would weigh less than 2,000 lbs. They have planned to name it the ‘Raptor’ and would be fitted with a 7.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine that produces around 650 horsepower.

The company has not let out the complete details of the car but it can be expected to follow along the lines of the company’s other models. Compared to its predecessor the major difference would be the weight, with the new model being lighter than the rest. This would also give the car an advantage when it comes to power to weight ratio.

More details about the car are expected to be out soon.
