This vroom….vrooom……..vroooommm Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse is a sports coupe with “open top” and boasts of a 7.9 liter, W 16 engine and clocks 100 kmh in 2.6 seconds from standstill; maximum output 1,200 hp @ 6,400 rpm; maximum torque 1,500 Nm @ 3,000 – 5,000 rpm. Four large turbochargers with intercoolers contribute immensely to the engine power output.
Consequently, the drive train has been rejiged to enable the transfer of the high output engine power to run through to drive the wheels using a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox and appropriate air ducting in this area. Thus, proper control of back pressure has helped reduce fuel consumption effectively. The fuel system uses a four-pump tank to ensure quick response and smooth acceleration .
