by SpeedLux

Dodge has made known its plans to introduce the 2013 Challenger R/T Redline at the Chicago Auto Show.

After a year of introducing the Challenger Rallye Redline, Dodge is back with another special edition of the model this time powered exclusively by a HEMI V8 5.7-liter engine producing 375 hp (280 kW) and 410 lb-ft (555 Nm) of torque. The power for the models come equipped with the 6-speed manual gearbox, while the ones with a 5-speed auto have 372 hp (277 kW) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque.

The special edition is restricted to the cars painted in Pitch Black, Granite Crystal, Bright White and Billet Silver. The Challenger R/T starts from 31,990 USD and the R/T Plus from 33,990 USD, and if anyone prefers the Redline package then extra 1,995 USD will have to be shelled out.

Typical equipment includes Uconnect Voice Command with Bluetooth, USB / iPod / AUX support, automatic headlamps, fog lamps, remote start, Mopar T-handle shifter and bright pedals. Plus version adds heated front seats, Nappa leather seating, power heated mirrors, rear park assist and a Boston Acoustics sound system with a 276-watt amplifier.

There isn’t any information on the performance and features of the car, but more information awaits at Chicago.

Till then stay tuned and do not forget to browse the colourful pictures.
