2013 Volkswagen Golf Variant official photos revealed

by SpeedLux

The first official photos of the Variant version of the seventh-gen Golf has been revealed.

Couple of days ago we saw the Golf VII Variant in secret images leaked but with masked taillights taken from the previous model. Now we can see that the taillight design is nearly similar to the current Volkswagen models without any real surprises. The car seen here is the more prudent BlueMotion variant with a TSI engine sporting silver roof rails and five double-spoke alloys.

No major changes is likely to happen since it is likely to have the engines from the hatchback, including a 1.2-liter TSI with 85 HP (63 kW) or 105 HP (77 kW), a 1.4-litre TSI with 122 HP (90 kW) or 140 HP (103 kW), while diesel choices would include a 1.6-liter TDI with 105 HP (77 kW) and a 2.0-litre TDI with 150 HP.
