2014 Subaru Outback, gains an off-road inspired exterior in Australia

by SpeedLux

Subaru has recently revealed an off-road inspired Outback in Australia after US and Europe.

The Australian version looks far more aggressive than the American and European counterparts and comes with a muscular new appearance thanks to plastic body cladding, underbody protection and roof rails. The makeover also includes other highlights such as tinted headlights, a dark grey grille, mud flaps and dark grey alloy wheels.

Subaru Australia’s Managing Director, Nick Senior was quoted saying, “We’ve had a lot of customer feedback suggesting owners would like a slightly tougher-looking Outback with greater body protection, which is especially useful on rural roads where this wagon rates highly.” He further stated that these MY14 upgrades will deliver on both fronts and will also help maintain Outback’s profile as one of the most versatile and capable wagons on the roads of Australia.

The company further says that the styling upgrades provide $ 2,500 worth of additional value but on the other hand the pricing of the model has gone up by only $ 500. This means that the entry-level Outback 2.5i CVT now comes with a base price of $38,990 AUD.

Surely looks a good deal and hopefully it would get a good response just like in America and Europe.
