3 dead after single-car crash in Pasadena, California

Three people died after their car flew off the freeway and landed on surface streets in Pasadena, California.

The crash took place at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Michillinda Avenue and East Colorado Boulevard.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third person succumbed to his injuries in Huntington Memorial Hospital.

Two others were admitted to local hospitals.

California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
