3 killed, 2 injured after crash in Carbon County, Pennsylvania

Three people are dead after a crash in Carbon County, Pennsylvania on Saturday night. 

The crash took place around 8:00 p.m. at Route 903 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike off-ramp located in Penn Forest Township. 

The driver of a Toyota Camry, identified as Bryan Nissen, 30 of Morris Plains, had been traveling north on Route 903 and pulled out in front of a second vehicle while trying to turn left onto I-476.  

Brett Knoll, 37 of Jim Thorpe, was the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee and was traveling south on Route 903 in the left lane.

Both drivers were admitted to Lehigh Valley – Cedar Crest for their injuries.

Two passengers of the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third passenger died after being flown to Geisinger Hospital.

Three victims killed in the crash were from New Jersey.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
