5 killed, 2 injured after car crash in Fresno County

Five people are dead following a car crash in Fresno County, California on Saturday.

The crash occured when a Hyundai Accent crossed over the double yellow lines on Millerton Road at around 4:30 a.m. and struck a Honda Accord.

Four people in the Hyundai were dead including the driver.

One person in the Honda died.

Two people were also critically injured in the crash. 

The victims have been identified as a 20-year-old named Javier Hernandez of Lemoore, a 43-year-old named Miguel Tijerina of Clovis, a 32-year-old named Marcelino Ramirez of Clovis, a 28-year-old named John Carlin of Fresno, and a 48-year-old named Ramandeep Sran of Kerman.

None of them were wearing seatbelts.

California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
