The CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA, Ernst Lieb said the new 2011 Mercedes–Benz SLK will be launched in the US in the April of 2011 with the next car to be made available will be the new M-Class that will be launched during summer next year.
Ernst Lieb also revealed the company’s forthcoming diesel engine plans, like a diesel engine will be plonked under the hood of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and will hit the streets in the US in September. However, Lieb also added, a diesel engine powered C-Class is not in the anvil and that the C-Class will get diesel power only in the next iteration of the car which should be ready by 2013. There will also be a diesel engine for the GLK compact crossover. And as for the new four-cylinder engines in the United States, the new B-Class and C-Class are likely to be the recipients of the new engine in 2013.
