Ferrari crash in Mississauga, Ontario

The Ferrari crash took place around 7:15 a.m. in Mississauga, Ontario when the section of Burnhamthorpe Rd. just before Promontory Dr. — near Mississauga Road — claimed two lives after a westbound Ferrari somehow lost control on a curve.

The sports car struck into a light standard was badly damaged.

Neighbors of the roadway near the Credit River in Mississauga call it the “Burnhamthorpe Speedway”.

Peel Regional Police Const. Heather Cannon confirmed that two people inside the vehicle died at the scene.

“What we know is there was a vehicle travelling westbound on Burmhamthorpe Rd. W. and at some point it left the roadway and hit a pole,” she said.

Police has not revealed identities of the victims.

who goes out at 7 AM on a Saturday morning trying to see how fast their Ferrari can go in a residential zone in Mississauga. certainly not a very smart person. whoever these people were that died , they may have had lots of money ,driving a nice Ferrari, but they obviously thought they were too rich to DIE. at least they didn’t kill any innocent people, thank GOD.

It doesn’t matter what time of day or night it was. The road has a posted speed limit of 60 kmh.

I live in the area.years back slightily west of this accident a car went off the road ending in the park’s meadow. That was luck for the driver!!The wide curve before Promontory is no doubt a temptation for “speeders”. It was a common sight of a red Ferrari in our section of mMssissauga road. One time ,a red Ferrari stopped in front of our house,.the old man next door was disoriented and the young driver was taking him home…so he walked him to his house. That was a very nice gesture.I hope for that young man that this was not his destiny .Our section of
Mississauga road could also be called a speed- way especially on week ends .We remember 3 casualties that occurred a walking distance from our house..over the years.
