3 dead and 3 injured after car crash in West Carroll Parish, Louisiana

A car crash in West Carroll Parish, Louisiana saw the deaths of three people and three injured.

According to Louisiana State Police, it crash took place on July 5, just before 9:30 p.m on LA Highway 17, between Oak Grove and the village of Kilbourne.

Officials say two vehicles were involved.

A Nissan Versa driven by a 35-year-old identified as Rhona N. Sanders, of Kilbourne, was traveling east on Chickasaw Loop Road. Sanders failed to acknowledge the stop sign and entered LA Hwy 17, after which the car got crashed with a truck.

Sanders and two children with him were pronounced dead at the scene.

The person driving the truck was not injured.

The other three occupants in Nissan were injured and were being treated.
