Two people died after a three-vehicle crash in Newton County, Mississippi.
Initial reports show that a 2009 Honda CRV driven by Mary A. Evans, 29, of Decatur, Mississippi, was traveling north on MS 15.
A 2004 Ford Expedition was driven by the individual identified as Treyon L. Mack, 30, of Decatur, who was traveling north on MS 15 behind the Honda CRV.
A 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was driven by a 22-year-old identified as Christopher A. Cook, of Decatur, who was traveling south on MS 15.
The Honda CRV and Ford Expedition crashed head-on with the Chevrolet Silverado.
Mary Evans and Treyon Mack were pronounced dead at the scene.
Cook received moderate injuries and was taken to Jeff Anderson Hospital in Meridian.
Tamara M. Bradley, 25, of Decatur, a passenger in the Honda CRV, was not injured.
Cornelius M. Bradley, 27, of Decatur, a passenger in the Honda CRV, was flown from Laird Hospital to UMC with serious injuries.
Two children, both passengers of the Honda CRV, were flown from Laird Hospital to Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson.
Mary Evans and Treyon Mack were the parents of the children.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
