Two killed after two-vehicle crash near Bennington
Two killed after two-vehicle crash near Bennington
Two people were killed after a two-vehicle crash near Bennington in Nebraska on Thursday morning.
The crash took place around 6:48 a.m. on Highway 36 near 126th Street when a green Toyota Corolla and a gray Dodge Stratus crashed head-on in the westbound lane of Highway 36.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge was taken to Nebraska Medicine where he succumbed to his injuries.
The accident is under investigation by Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Highway 36 was resumed after being shut in both directions from 132nd Street to Bennington Road for some hours.
