The K1 Attack Roadster revealed

by Alex Patrick

The 26-year old Oliver Ashley made a promise especially while he unveiled the K-1 Attack Roadster back in year 2007. The promise he made was: “I will be back,” A phrase so famously said by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Hollywood blockbuster “The Terminator.” Well, Oliver Ashley has kept his promise and is back to give a detailed presentation of the new production version of his stunning sports car in a very recent announcement. It is being called a stunning car for it indeed is a stunning car. But what you might find interesting and stunning is all of the hard work, dedication, and passion put into his vehicle by Ashley. To his 4,000 hours of hard work and passion you would want to add another £70,000 that calls for this appreciation to Ashley.

A Honda Civic Type R 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine churning out over 250 bhp and six-speed manual gearbox are among the key attractions for the K-1 Attack Roadster. Among the other most prominent features includes installed mid-ships, and ultra taut race-bred suspension. The formidable Brembo braking, carbon fiber bodywork, a full bespoke leather / Alcantara cockpit, and £2,000 Asanti wheels makes the car adorable to a car lover.

Oliver in a recent interview said “I have actually assembled the car four times since starting the project”. He not only mentioned but emphasized, “I had an original concept firmly in mind, and the design and specification evolved as I went along by building the car, checking the fit of every new component, dis-assembling, making modifications and so on, until I was happy with every element.”

On being asked if Ashley had any future business plans with the car he said “I’ve actually been offered a lot of money to sell it, but I plan to enjoy it for a year or so, and after that? Well, building a speedboat from scratch could be fun.”

So, keep a tab on the story to see how it would progress in near future.
