Daimler have launched a new Viano Avantgarde Edition 125 which they say is a mix of MPV, saloon and sports car. The car would be available in two length options: ‘compact’ and ‘long’ starting this spring. The car has looks as well as some unique features like the dynamic drive system. The car is fitted with 19 inch, 16 spoke light alloy wheels and comes in color options of obsidian black or brilliant silver metallic colors. The exterior mirror housings, the side skirts and chrome trim on front bumper as well as the chromed rear trim on the tailgate comes in high gloss. For interior there is the sporty, comfortable leather seats which adds to its stylish appearance. The car also has the option of Lugano leather or the “Twin DINAMICA” microfibre surface.
The cockpit of the car is made up of white which allows for illumination of the instruments. It also has sports pedals in brushed stainless steel with rubber studs featured in the car. There is an option of the decorative strips being of a black or brown burr-walnut appearance. There are four individual passenger seats to the car and fixed at the rear having the same features as that of the seats fixed up front. The seats also come with an integrated three point seat belt system along with height adjustable head restraints and adjustable armrests.
The power train of the car are two V6 units that are coupled to an automatic transmission. The V6 CDI unit develops 224 hp of peak power and 440 Nm or 325 lb ft of peak torque. With this the car goes from 0 to 60 mph in 9.1 seconds with top speeds of 201 kmph or 125 mph. The second unit is a V6 3.5 petrol engine that develops 285 hp and gives an acceleration factor of 10.4 seconds for the 0 to 60 mph run and top speeds of 217 kmph or 135 mph.
