That Rolls Royce has opened their largest showroom in Abu-Dhabi shouldn’t be much of a surprise given the love of UAE residents for the superlatives.
CEO of Rolls Royce, Torsten Muller Otvos was present at the inauguration ceremony of the showroom at the city named Umm Al Nar. Five cars can be displayed in the showroom which has an area of 900 square meter or 9,688 square feet. Other facilities that have been set up in the showroom include a coffee bar and a customer configuration lounge. This is a special unit where future Rolls-Royce owners can specify their cars to their taste through a variety of color, trim samples and options.
At the inaugural ceremony the CEO mentioned: “The showroom opening in Abu Dhabi represents one of a line of new and expanded Rolls-Royce showrooms which have been unveiled throughout the Gulf region in the last 18 months. These investments underline the continuing confidence that the company sees in the Rolls-Royce brand across the Middle East.”
He also added that “The Middle East region continues to be an important driver in the global growth of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Last year the region contributed over 15 percent of our global sales. Abu Dhabi is no exception and continues to demonstrate remarkable year on year growth.” It is no surprise that out of the 82 total number of Rolls Royce showrooms around the world eight of them are located in the Middle East region itself.
To commemorate the occasion a Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection Phantom Drophead Coupe was displayed by Rolls Royce. Just 100 units of this car had been built as a celebration of the centennial of Rolls Royce.
The collection models have a special white-on-black double R badge, Spirit of Ecstasy inspired coachlines, as well as the renowned figurine bathed in white light.
