2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0

by Alex

Rumors about a more powerful Porsche 911 GT3 RS version has started up just a month ago. This rumor has turned to reality with the availability of the official version and specification of this model. Price of the car would be 179,880 euro which converts to $260,000 given the current exchange rates. Production of the car is scheduled to start end May 2011 and it would be just 500 units that would be made of the car.

The engine fit of the car has been stated to be a 4.0 liter unit which delivers 500 hp and mated to a six speed manual gearbox system which has been optimized for low weight and high efficiency.

Speed of a car is dependent on weight of the car and this issue has been well addressed by Porsche in its making of the GT3 RS4.0. The air conditioning system of the car has been dropped as well as carbon fiber material has been used for the interior of the car to ensure low weight factor of the car.
