We have already been treated with images of the stunning new SLK roadster and CLS sports car. And now, the company has come up with the other important aspect that has been missing so far – the price of the cars which Mercedes has revealed recently. The price revelation also comes just in time as the cars are all set to enter markets in the US this summer.

However, Mercedes Benz has come up with the pricing information for the 2012 version of the SLK 350. So as per information available as of now, the 2012 SLK 350 will have a base price of $54,800, with an additional $875 as destination and delivery charge. So the total cost for the base version stands at $55,675. To put a comparative study, the price of the outgoing 2011 version of SLK 350 with 300 HP on tap stands at $54,145 which is inclusive of all extra transportation fees applicable.

The fresh version of the hardtop roadster model gets its power from a 3.5 liter V6 engine. The engine flaunts the features of direct injection and multi spark ignition and is capable of producing 302 HP of peak power along with 273 lbft of peak torque. Also, these power characteristics are enough to propel the car to breach the three figure mark from rest in 5.4 seconds.

Mercedes though is yet to come up with all the pricing details for the base SLK 250. With a 1.8 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under its hood, the car has an output of 201 HP; power that is enough for the car to reach the 60 mph speed mark from rest in 6.5 seconds. The car also comes with a good fuel economy of 27 mpg with the standard 6 speed manual gearbox.

As for the 2012 version of the four door CLS model, buyers in the US will have two options to choose from, both of which are based on the new biturbo direct injection type V8 engines. The 4.6 liter engine incorporated in the CLS 550 produces an impressive 402 HP and a torque of 443 lb-ft. The high performance – CLS 63 AMG gets its power from a 5.5 liter variant of the newly developed V8 engine with a power output of 518 Hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

The base price of the sedan starts from $71,300 for the CLS 550 model and the same is $94,900 for the CLS 63 AMG version. Both the pricing do not include the destination and the delivery charges. The extra charges applicable amount to $875.
