Alfa Romeo Giulietta will not be available on the U.S. market

by Andrew Randall

Alfa Romeo will come back in U.S. but it’s taking with it the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta. You should know that the vice president of communications for Fiat Group Automobiles, namely Richard Gadeselli announced that there are no plans for exporting the Alfa Romeo Giulietta to U.S. but this could be just temporal and in time, that car to become available in U.S. too.

If you’re an Europe citizen, than you can choose from 2 gasoline powerplants, namely a 1.4TB engine which is able to develop up to 120hp and another 1.4TB MultiAir engine which is able to develop up to 170hp. If you want a diesel engine, there are another 2 choices for this too namely a 1.6 JTDM which is able to develop up to 105hp and a 2.0 JTDM which can develop up to 170hp. As you can see, the 1.4TB MultiAir engine is similar to the 2.0 JTDM engine having the same output, probably the difference between them is at the price.

You should know that both JTDM powerplants are belonging to FIAT’s second generation of turbo diesel engines. If you ask me, I think that after few years, this new Alfa Romeo Giulietta will also become available in U.S.
