Buick LaCrosse GL concept to Debut at LA Auto Show

by Zack Colt

At the next week’s LA Auto Show Buick will arrive with the new LaCrosse GL concept which despite of our expectations, isn’t a high-performance car, but instead of it, it’s billed as a design study to see just how luxurious one can make a LaCrosse. Everything about this car shouts luxury, from the rich cabernet painted coat, with brushed and tinted chrome exteriour accents. The 20-inch wheels which are dead ringers for the wheel design used on the Regal GS, feature a muted satin finish.

But what really makes this car be as luxurious as hell is the interiour, which has been upgraded with contrasting dark cocoa brown and caramel chocochino leather on the seats and dash that’s set off with ice-blue stitching to match Buick’s signature ambient lighting hue. The entire headliner is also wrapped in suede, and the dash features an attractive wood grain inspired by the ombré patina on Les Paul guitars. Even the insides of the storage compartments are flocked like the inner lining of a jewelry box.

According to Buick, the LaCrosse GL concept will inspire future Buick models, reason for which we are allowed to expect similar treatments for the brand’s large sedan.

It is worth mentioned that it is remarkable the way Buick adopted this strategy to remind customers that it is as able as the LaCrosse’s competitor Lexus ES to do luxury.
