BYD’s new energy vehicle sales increased 192 percent in June

Chinese automaker BYD saw an increase in new energy vehicles (NEV) sales growth in June, according to the company data.

In a filing with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the automaker said its sales of NEVs, including fully electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, increased 192.03 percent year on year to 41,366 units in June.

In the first half of this year, the automaker sold 154,579 NEVs, showing an increase of 154.76 percent year on year.
