Chevrolet India Sedan revealed

Chevrolet India has released the details about soon to be introduced sedan for the Indian market.

Expected to go on sale shortly, the model has an unique design with angular headlights, an upward sweeping character line and a sloping roofline. One can also wraparound taillights and eight-spoke alloy wheels.

There is no information about the interior of the car but GM says the cabin will have a Corvette-inspired interior with a dual-cockpit layout and a “horizon view” dashboard. The model also promises to have “excellent leg room, generous boot space and cleverly designed extras like a rear seat armrest.”

Under the hood, two engines will be available: a 1.2-liter petrol or a 1.3-liter diesel. Specifications are not out yet but the petrol is likely to produce 86 HP (63 kW) and 113 Nm (83 lb-ft) of torque, while the diesel would result in 78 PS (57 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque.

Chevrolet says that the car will have a suspension and steering system that are “finely tuned for Indian road conditions.”
