Chevrolet Sonic gains limited edition colors

by SpeedLux

Chevrolet has decided to take the special out of special edition as they have made the announcement to offer a limited edition Sonic in Deep Magenta Metallic and Cool Blue colors.

Designed win the aim to appeal to individualist consumers, the limited edition models will feature a unique exterior color and nothing else. That may not sound too exciting but General Motors says that the limited edition colors will be applied using a “three-wet” paint process that would ensure high quality while reducing environmental impact.

According to Michelle Killen, Lead Creative Designer of GM, About one-third of the Sonic buyers rate exterior color as an extremely important factor in their purchase process which is certainly a higher percentage than other small car buyers.

The Deep Magenta Metallic Sonic color will be available from August through October this year, while Cool Blue will be offered from November 2013 to March 2014. The company also has plans to add a Dragon Green exterior color early next year, probably after March 2014.

We will have to wait and see how the customers react and if the new trick Chevy will do some good or bad for the sales of the car in future.
