Car crashed into home in Garner, North Carolina

 A car crashed into a Garner home early Sunday morning. The couple sitting inside was shocked.

The Garner Police Department stated the car crashed into the home, located at 900 W. Garner Road, around 3:45 a.m. A couple stated they were watching TV in their living room when the car crashed into the front of their home.

Neither the couple nor the driver had any injuries, but the home and car suffered heavy damage.

The 20-year-old driver, Saul Elijah Hernandez, of Raleigh, has been charged with DWI and misdemeanor breaking and entering. He was taken to the Wake County Jail, according to the Garner Police Department.

A witness told that the driver was traveling around 70 mph when he crossed over a median, hit a street sign then crashed into the home.
