by SpeedLux

Police state a freight train car that hindered in northern Iowa rolled into and harmed a trackside tavern named DeRailed.

Chief Hugh Anderson states the accident took place around 4 a.m. Tuesday as teams moved rail vehicles and changed connections in Charles City.

He states it seems that the track separated and the grain vehicle tipped about 45 degrees into the back of the bar.

Anderson states a patrol officer called him to tell a train automobile had derailed into Derailed, including that “it’s not every day you get to say that.”

Nobody was harmed. The bar owner approximates damage at $10,000.

Charles City is around 140 miles northeast of Des Moines, Iowa.
