Ferrari Working on Track Version of P4/5

by Ron Grant

According to reports, the track version of the Ferrari P430 is already in the works. This car is set to be completed by 2011. Purchased by movie director Jim Glickenhaus, the new track version of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia will make the director’s visions for the P4/5 Competizion a realization, all possible with the new Pininfarina.

Glickenhaus made this announcement recently on Ferrarichat, a forum dedicated to the Italian car brand. He expressed his gratefulness to the New York dealer Wide World of Cars who sold him the Scuderia for a reasonable price. Glickenhaus said he will be turning this car into a race-capable entry for the 24 Hours Nurburgring Circuit.

However, Glickenhaus also said that he doesn’t intend to make the car permanently track-ready. After the Nurburgring adventure, he will be reconverting it to a street-legal vehicle. He also said that they will be announcing updates as the construction proceeds.
