As per the latest reports coming in, Ford Motors is all set to install the 1.0-liter EcoBoost in the 2014 Fiesta in U.S. as an alternative to the base model’s 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The 1.0-liter, three-cylinder EcoBoost engine is pretty small to be carried around, but it definitely has the power to deliver around 123 hp and and 148 pound-feet of torque.
Though Ford didn’t release details on fuel economy, but the company has stated that the 1.0-liter EcoBoost-equipped Fiesta would return the highest fuel economy of any non-hybrid model that has been sold in the United States. And as per some test that had been carried out in European region, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost did achieve an equivalent of 47 mpg.
