Garmin International Inc. to Provide Navigation Systems for Future Mercedes-Benz Models

Garmin International Inc., the well known and the global leader in satellite navigation systems has recently made an announcement that they have been appointed by Daimler AG for supply of navigation systems for future Mercedes-Benz cars.

This means that all the future models of Mercedes-Benz would come with the Garmin Navigation System into their infotainment kit, and that’s for the next four years as per the contract.

Garmin Navigation System would provide crucial information to drivers including positioning information for Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS) functionalities of the vehicle to assist drivers in challenging situations. This will surely improve the driving experience and the information would be readily available at any given point of time.

Their success is built on large experience in user interface and hardware design from its various segments such as automotive, avionics and marine segments to develop innovative in-car navigation, telematics and infotainment systems.
